A strong home meet for Stavanger Vannpoloklubb
Speedo Open 2026 was held in Stavanger from February 6 to 8, 2026. The meet welcomed 20 clubs from across the region and created a busy, energetic atmosphere from the first session to the last race.
For Stavanger Vannpoloklubb, the competition was an important home weekend. Our club entered 14 swimmers, completed 56 starts and came away with 25 medals, including 5 gold medals.
Racing at home also gave the team a valuable chance to show consistency, depth and confidence across many events in front of teammates, families and supporters.
Milestone
A new step forward for the club
One of the clearest highlights of the weekend was participation. For the first time, Stavanger Vannpoloklubb ranked as the 8th largest team at the meet in terms of entries.
That milestone says a lot about how far the club has come compared with the early years. It reflects both steady development and the growing strength of the group.
